Take your teen to camp for a week and get a  scuba diver at the end.

Registration is now open for our Winter camps in December.  We’re offering two beginner,  Open Water Scuba Diver camps in Seattle, where teens can complete the knowledge and confined water portions of the SSI Open Water Diver Certification program.

In these camps, teens will be focusing on the marine environment, from an identification, behavioral and conservation perspective.  During their scuba certification program, they will have opportunities to learn all of the skills and knowledge required to become a certified Open Water Scuba diver.

Beginning Open Water Camps (Dec 21-23 & Dec 28-30) will take the campers through a full Open Water Certification course.  We’ll be meeting from 9-3, Wednesday thru Friday in the South Seattle area.  This is the camp your teen does not want to miss out on!  SSI Open Water certification may count towards college credits…but most of all…they’ll have the coolest break of all of their friends!  Cost $279

Teen Camps include books, rental gear, airfills, weights and all miscellaneous fees.   We’ll also provide water for the campers.  Student should provide personal snorkeling gear and sack lunch.

TEEN WEEKEND PROGRAMS

We’re offering three TEEN ONLY weekends this year to get more teens into diving.  Each weekend, four lucky teens will go through the entire certification process.  Is it intense…?  Yes.  Is it for every teen?  No.   But if your teen is 14 – 18 years old, comfortable in and around water, has a good energy level and enthusiasm for learning scuba…this will be the weekend that changes their world.

The weekend program begins with Independent Study prior to students coming to class.  All knowledge reviews MUST be completed prior to first class.

Classroom takes place near the pool setting for ease with transportation.  Parents are encouraged to watch the schedule for assistance, primarily on Saturday, with transporting your teen from location to location.

The pool sessions will teach the skills necessary for the Open Water experience.  At the Open Water, teens will be taken out in buddy pairs by the instructor and one assistant, assuring maximum 1:1 safety ratios.

Not seeing a weekend that works?  Teens are welcomed into any of our normally scheduled classes…we just offer these weekends so they can learn with other teens!
