INTRODUCTORY CLASSES

Discover Scuba! If you’re still wondering if scuba diving is for you, sign up for one of our “Discover Scuba” experiences. This two hour class will have you breathing underwater in a heated pool. We schedule these sessions year round and the class fee can be credited towards any class sign up within 5 days of your Discover Scuba experience.

We start the class with an introduction to the world of scuba.  We’ll discuss the myths and realities of scuba diving…and address any concerns/questions the participants have.   You will be led through the scuba equipment set-up to become fully acquaited with the gear you’ll be using in the water.  This takes alot of the mystery out of how divers breath so easily underwater.  Then, we’ll don our masks and fins and descend beneath the warm pool water to play various pool games underwater.  At the end of the session, you’ll be ready to go forward to the full course for Open Water certification.

Discover Scuba sessions are held from 6:30-8:30 at Tukwila Pool – 4414 S 144th, Tukwila, WA or the Evergreen Pool – 606 SW 116th St, Burien.  Minimum of 2 participants required.  Any sessions cancelled due to low participants can be rescheduled.

SNORKELING TOURS

We believe EVERYONE should see fish. Some people should see them from the bottom, some from the top and others in aquariums.

Are you going on a cruise, want to snorkel but you’re a bit timid about being in choppy water and breathing through a snorkel?  Want help selecting a mask, snorkel and fin set?  Or would you like a customized personal snorkeling tour of the Puget Sound?

Join one of our snorkeling groups in a warm heated pool. We’ll get comfortable breathing off of the snorkel, putting our face in the water and eventually, diving beneath the surface.  Contact us at girldiver@girldiver.com to arrange a snorkeling class.
