BEFORE YOUR CLASS: We start the class with a one-on one orientation to the world of scuba in our classroom. We’ll discuss the myths and realities of scuba diving…and address any concerns/questions the participants have. At this time, we’ll get you set by fitting you with the gear for your Discover Scuba experience and you can sign the required waivers. This part can be completed anytime, up to 30 days prior to your pool session.
Then, at your pool session, we’ll don our masks and fins and descend beneath the warm pool water to play various pool games underwater. To assure divers they really CAN clear their ears, we’ll teach you several techniques and then work our way slowly down to the deep end (12′) where you’ll discover the “pain in the ear” disappears when done correctly.
At the end of the session, you’ll be ready to go forward to the full course for Open Water certification. This session counts toward your full certification if you continue your class within 30 days of taking the Discover Scuba. We’ll discount your full course $69 to reflect this pool session.
Discover Scuba sessions are held various times throughout the month. We hold 3-8 sessions per month (depending on demand) and utilize 3 locations in Tukwila, Renton and Auburn.
