PADI Rescue Diver

Learn the skills to:
Take our PADI Rescue Diver Class. We focus on diving rescue and accident management and prevention, but along the way you will increase your confidence in your own diving and be better able to assist others.
This course trains divers in the knowledge and skills needed to manage risks and effectively handle the first 30 minutes of a scuba emergency. Included are assists, surface rescue and rescue from depth of both responsive and non-responsive victims.
Although this course is a prerequisite for PADI Instructors and divemaster, it is a course that has benefits for anyone who dives. Upon completion of this course there is a sense of pride and accomplishment that is hard to duplicate.
The course requires two evening classroom sessions, one pool session, and approximately eight hours of open water training.
The prerequisite for certification as a Rescue Diver is that you be certified as an Advanced Open Water Diver and have completed a First Aid program.
In addition to your basic scuba diving equipment you will need:
- Rescue diver manual
- Accident management work slate
- Pocket mask
- First aid kit
Included: tanks, weights, classroom, pool, open water dive instruction, and certification card.
Rescue Diver course cost is $299 (incl. books)
First Aid class is $75 (incl books)

WHY THIS IS SO IMPORTANT TO CINDY
I won’t blow the punchline on the website…but I’ve been a player in a real rescue. One that didn’t have a happy ending. And it was only because the training I received was excellent, that I was able to handle the situation as it happened.

We strongly urge divers who’ve completed the RESCUE class to take a review AT LEAST every year. We believe a refresher on Rescue skills is SO crucial, that we offer refreshers to any Rescue Diver certified through GirlDiver for FREE…for LIFE.
Not certified by GirlDiver? We still want you to be ready if the need should arise. We offer a full refresher (class, pool and open water) to any Rescue certified diver, regardless of agency, for only $25, Yep…$25. (This means, you have your own equipment and tanks…or we can rent those to you.)
We accept NAUI, SSI, SDI or other rescue divers into any of our Rescue Reviews.
