GirlDiver Super Fantastic Action Adventure Dive Club
We’re committed to keep you diving and in this spirit, we’ve organized the GirlDiver Super Fantastic Action Adventure Dive Club (GDSFAADC). No…the name doesn’t “spell” anything, but if you say it fast, it tickles your tongue!

Stacie M.
Our dive club President, Stacie M., is planning some fun and high energy events for the dive club. Not all of these are under the sea, as we know how much fun it is talking to other divers. After all, divers are pretty cool peeps.
Attendance at GirlDiver Super Fantastic Action Adventure Club events is always free (unless otherwise posted) You need NOT be a GirlDiver student to attend. You need NOT even be a diver to attend…we’ve always got shore stuff going on for sea lovers in general.
We’re here to have fun. If you’re looking for a supportive group, welcoming…VERY welcoming to newcomers and new divers, you’ve found us! Of course, if you’re a crusty old sea dog, we’ll accept you too…as long as you’re nice!
So, come join the newest dive club in Seattle, where we’ll keep you diving, and occasionally let you dry out with our land activities as well. A place to have fun, meet people and spend large amounts of time under the sea!
Wet Wednesdays
Wednesday, August 11 Alki Cove 1, just past Salty’s on Alki, is home to a shallow reef area most divers overlook on their quest to dive the deeper cove next door. Schools of tubefish and perch swarm the rocks encrusted with barnacles, sea cucumbers, dorids and anemones. For a new diver, this is the perfect dive, as the life ends at about 35′ deep, so no need to venture into the depths. Dive starts at 6:00…be there a bit earlier to suit up and get ready. If you need to rent equipment for the dive, be sure to contact us with plenty of notice.
Wednesday, August 25 Redondo Beach, in Des Moines, offers a few different options for dives. Our first dive of the evening will be a deep dive, visiting the carousel horse where a Pacific Ray was recently spotted. Ratfish are also coming to visit the site…so if you want to see our local shark cousin, the second dive of the day, a night dive, will be a good chance to spot these butterfly winged fish. A member of the shark family, these little guys have their own, unique defense mechanism. DO NOT be little bunny foo-foo, bopping baby ratfish on the head…as they have a poisonous head dressing adorning them. We’ll meet to splash at 5:00 with one dive at 5:30′ish and a later dive at 7:00.
GOT GAS??
We are happy to provide both gear and air on a limited basis…for some moolah. We’ll haul and return all gear/air and weights…no rinsing or bother for you. Air: $5/tank Weights: $5 BCD/Reg:$10 Exposure Protection: $15 Gear rentals must be prepaid…as this avoids “no shows” at the site.
